Sceptre Award
The security team behind Hampshire’s regional shopping destination, Festival Place has been crowned Security team of the Year at the SCEPTRE awards 2010.
The successful security team topped a short list of six to win the most competitive category at the awards ceremony, which was held at The Dorchester Hotel, London in June.
The SCEPTRE awards were launched in 2000 to recognise successes and achievements in the shopping centre industry. The Security Team of the Year award acknowledges best practice in shopping centre security amongst directly employed security teams, specialist contractors and integrated service suppliers.
Steven Connolly, Centre Director at Festival Place said: “Our 38-strong team impressed the panel of judges. The team’s achievements, which include a £145,000 reduction in shrinkage at an anchor store and a 74% reduction at another high turnover store coupled with the ongoing willingness to make Festival Place the destination of choice has meant that we have come out top in this prestigious awards category. We are very proud to have been recognised for our dedication in providing a safe shopping environment.”
