Festival Place Water Saving Initiatives:
Rain Water Harvesting was introduced to the Centre in 2006 and it is hoped we will increase the number of storage tanks in the future and the pumps will be solar powered.
Fitting water displacement devices (we use used coca cola bottles) in toilet cisterns saves approximately 0.5 litres per flush.
A system known as BMS (Building Management System) monitors water consumption from all of the meters around the Centre - the team can see straight away if there is excessive use and are able react immediately.
