On stage The Bread & Butter Company, aka the Christmas Crackers, introduced the Basingstoke Academy of Dance, winner of the Festival Factor, Jessica Dadrall who sang a superb duet with resident singer Fil Straughn, young singing talent from Poptrain and World Champion Show Dancers Craig and Natalie who wowed the crowd.  Alvin and the Chipmunks arrived with Father Christmas and Sonia who is starring in Cinderella at The Anvil to turn the lights on.  Following the countdown the expectant crowd watched a spectacular firework display.  And the entertainment didn’t stop there.  Still Drifting, staring Ray Lewis from the Drifters sang on in to the night.  ‘It was a wonderful event for all the family,’ said Centre Director, Steven Connolly, ‘we were lucky with the weather and everyone I spoke to seemed to have really enjoyed themselves.’
