Five Stars Again for Festival Place Toilets
Festival Place, Hampshire’s leading shopping destination, has won a five star rating in the Loo of the Year Awards for the fourth year running. The award recognises consistently high standards across a number of stringent criteria following an unannounced visit by a Loo of the Year Awards inspector, and marks out Festival Place’s facilities as continuously one of the best in the entirety of the UK and Ireland.
Festival Place’s men’s and ladies’ facilities passed with flying colours on a range of criteria including: cleanliness, signage, décor and maintenance, hygiene equipment, air quality, fixtures and fittings, security and changing facilities.
Commenting, Steven Connolly, centre director, Festival Place, said: “At Festival Place, our aim is to make every shopping trip memorable. We know that impeccably clean, easy to find toilets are important to our visitors, especially to parents with young children and to people with disabilities. We set very high standards and we’re delighted to gain recognition for an unprecedented fourth year running. Looking forward, we’re committed to maintaining our award-winning facilities at Festival Place.”
The Loo of the Year Awards have been running since 1987 and are aimed at encouraging the highest possible standards in all types of ‘away from home’ or public toilets. They are run independently and are promoted by the British Toilet Associations (BTA), and cover the UK, the Republic of Ireland and the Channel Islands.
