Live Nativity
Would be Mary, Joseph, Angels and Shepherds turned up on Saturday to take part in a Live Nativity scene in Festival Square.
The Salvation Army and the Basingstoke Ladies Choir sang festive carols and Basingstoke Mayor, Brian Guerdon was on hand to give away goody bags to the children who participated. Farms 4 Ewe provided the donkey and other farm animals to make the scene complete. ‘It was a very Christmassy scene,’ said Theresa Chapman, Events Manager, ‘and a big thank you to The Rotary who provided mulled wine and mince pies.’
