With less than a week until the official launch of Festival Place’s first ever Retailer Gold Awards, things are heating up at the Basingstoke shopping centre.
Designed to recognise the achievements of the centre’s range of retailers, categories will include:
1. Menswear Store of the Year
2. Ladieswear Store of the Year
3. Kids’ Fashion Store of the Year
4. Footwear and Accessories Store of the Year
5. Specialist Store of the Year
6. Entertainment and Technology Store of the Year
7. Health and Beauty Store of the Year
8. Jewellery Store of the Year
9. Restaurant of the Year
10. Café and Food Outlet of the Year
11. Service with a Smile Award
12. Store of the Year
Voting will open on Monday 5th September, when customers will have the chance to choose their favourite retailers either online, via the Festival Place website or in the centre with special Festival Place Retailer Gold Award leaflets.
Stores with the most votes in each category will then win a £200 Festival Place Gift Card as well as an award to mark their achievement. The winner of Store of the Year will, however, receive a £300 Festival Place Gift Card and one lucky customer entry will also receive a £250 Festival Place Gift Card.
Festival Place’s retailers have already shown an interest in the awards and can’t wait for voting to open, commenting:

Speaking about the awards, Centre Director at Festival Place, Steven Connolly, said: “We are incredibly excited to launch the first ever Festival Place Retailer Gold Awards. We hope by giving customers the chance to vote and have their say with this new event, we will be able to highlight some of the fantastic work our retailers do.”
