RoSPA Awards Winner 2016 Festival Place Win President's Award

Basingstoke shopping centre, Festival Place, has been awarded the President’s Award (10 consecutive Golds) in the 60th year of the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2016.

Run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), the awards celebrate those businesses and organisations which have shown true commitment to accident and ill-health prevention.

The scheme is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, with judges considering entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events, said: “To win an award at such a highly regarded event as the RoSPA Awards is a great achievement for our winners. It recognises their commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record and raises the bar for other organisations to aspire to. We offer them our congratulations.”

Steven Connolly, Centre Director at Festival Place, commented: “We are delighted to have been recognised again this year by the RoSPA and ARE proud to receive the President’s Award. The health and safety of those that visit or work at Festival Place is of the utmost importance to us and we look forward to maintaining the high standards we have set for years to come.”
