Salted Caramel Cocoa Vodka 250ml - £15.00
Small batch English vodka infused with salted caramel and cocoa from Hotel Chocolat's plantation. Served over ice or straight from the freezer this is a unique drink with a great balance of flavours: not too sweet, with an edge of salt, caramel and cocoa. They used Maldon sea salt to achieve the right mineral flavour but the star of the show is the whole cocoa bean from their own estate, sealed inside each bottle.
Cocoa Gin 250ml - £15.00
A classically cool and crisp English dry gin infused with the flavours of Hotel Chocolat's Rabot Estate in Saint Lucia - lemon zests, juniper, coriander, mineola and angelica, with peppery notes of roasted cocoa shells and the rich creaminess of crushed macadamia nuts. Made by expert artisanal English distillers working in small batches using the copper-pot stills.
Cocoa Beer - £5.00
Distinctive, English, small-batch beer, brewed with traditional Fuggles hops and the warming flavour of cocoa shells to create a complex, rounded ale of real character, with pleasing savoury bitterness and notes of tobacco, cocoa and coffee. The cocoa shells are left over from making chocolate, but they’re just too good to throw away.
Pale Cocoa Beer - £5.00
Distinctive English small-batch beer, brewed with cocoa pulp and a generous amount of hops to create a refreshing, golden beer with the tang of tropical and citrus fruits. The fresh, lychee-sweet pulp surrounding the beans in a cocoa pod is just too good to waste. Best served lightly chilled.
Cocoa Bitters - £10.00
The naturally unsweet bitterness of cocoa blended with the lighter notes of grapefruit and absinthe. Use 7-10 drops per cocktail.
Hotel Chocolat Champagne - £45.00
Champagne is notoriously difficult to pair with chocolate; after extensive tastings, Hotel Chocolar realised that the only way was to create their own. The result is a softer, creamier Champagne with irresistible biscuit notes. The secret was to use just two grapes - Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier - and drop the traditional third grape, Chardonnay. They partnered with the Fallet-Dart family, whose wine making wisdom has been passed down since 1610, and who aged this Champagne to perfection for four years. The perfect celebration or congratulations gift - especially with chocolate!
Prosecco Superiore DOCG 75cl - £18.00
Lively and uplifting prosecco exclusively made in a boutique winery in the Dolomite foothills. Refreshing and fruity, it is especially good with milk and white chocolate. Appearance: Straw-yellow tending to shiny greenish flecks. Fine grain perlage with abundant and persistent foam. Bouquet: clean, balanced with a flowery note. Taste: persistent and characteristic in its fruity notes full-bodied. Although it is a matter of personal preference, Hotel Chocolat think this prosecco goes best with milk or white chocolate, but a lot of the fun is in experimenting to see what you like best.
Sparkling Pink Rosé 75cl - £18.00
Light and lively sparkling rosé that won't fail to uplift – with a fruity bouquet, and delicate, pleasantly aromatic flavour notes of almond. Ideal for celebrations of all kinds or simply to brighten up a rainy day!
Special Reserve Tawny Port - £16.00
This Special Reserve Aged Tawny Port has been specially selected after a great taste-off to be the perfect partner for Hotel Chocolat's milk chocolate – rich and medium-bodied with smoky notes. Best enjoyed lightly chilled (15ºC). To pair with chocolate, just allow a small piece of chocolate to melt in the mouth for a few seconds to release its flavours, then take a sip of port and let the two mingle in your mouth.
Special Reserve Ruby Port - £16.00
This Special Reserve Aged Ruby Port has been specially selected after a great taste-off to be the perfect partner for Hotel Chocolat's dark chocolate – fruity, full-bodied with a touch of spice. Best enjoyed at room temperature. To pair with chocolate, just allow a small piece of chocolate to melt in the mouth for a few seconds to release its flavours, then take a sip of port and let the two mingle in your mouth.
Chateau Chocolat Terra do Zambujeiro, 2011 - £25.00
After extensive tastings Hotel Chocolat found this, the perfect wine to pair with their chocolate. Estate-bottled each year, it’s full of spice, ripe fruit and cocoa notes, with a hint of oak and leather. Pair with all kinds of meat, cheese and pasta dishes, milk and dark chocolate and savoury cocoa cuisine. This rare wine is crafted by a boutique winery in the Alentejo region of Portugal from four heirloom grapes: Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez and Trincadeira. Each varietal is first made into its own wine and individually aged in oak casks, before later being blended and aged in oak again – a four-year journey to the perfect flavour profile.
