Festival Place is this year helping to celebrate Basingstoke businesses who have found innovative ways to survive and thrive during the Covid-19 crisis by sponsoring the Inspire Business Awards for a third year.

The awards are run by Destination Basingstoke and ensure that leading local businesses across North Hampshire gain the recognition they deserve – both for themselves, and for their dedicated staff.

This year Festival Place is sponsoring the new category of Wellbeing at Work, a subject championed by the shopping centre.

Emily Palmer, Marketing Manager at Festival Place, said: “We’re proud to be supporting the Inspire Business Awards again. This year is especially poignant given the incredible pressure businesses have found themselves in. For us, the new award for Wellbeing in the Workplace was especially interesting as a subject very close to our hearts.

“We are strong advocates for mental health and have a number of initiatives at the centre, including providing specialist training for our dedicated Mental Health first aiders, supporting autism with quiet times and being part of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower scheme.

“We wish all those businesses taking part, the very best of luck!”

Felicity Edwards, Managing Director at Destination Basingstoke, said: “At this difficult time, with all businesses facing fall out from Covid-19 it is especially important to recognise those moving forward and offer a chance to celebrate and showcase their successes. We would like to encourage customers of businesses, friends, relatives and colleagues to recommend great businesses to enter.”
