Retail and leisure destination Festival Place welcomes the return of its live theatre later this month, where visitors will be able to enjoy a unique interpretation of the much-loved classic Pinocchio.
Audiences are invited to join everybody’s favourite puppet on an exciting quest full of adventure, music and laughter. This family-friendly production features toe-tapping numbers, colourful costumes and side-splitting comedy - no strings attached!
With a little help from his cricket companion and a sprinkling of magic from the Blue Fairy, Pinocchio must escape from an evil puppet master and reunite with his father Gepetto to fulfil his dream of becoming a real boy.
Following the success of last year’s open-air production of ‘Alice in Wonderland’, those visiting the centre will be able to enjoy another fun-packed summer pantomime on July 31.
Performances will take place at 11.30am, 2pm and 4pm at The Amphitheatre. Tickets are £10 per adult and £8.50 per child, or you can purchase a family ticket for £33.
Company Director Josh Dixon shared “We are so excited to be back and performing in our hometown once again. This is a perfect opportunity for everyone to enjoy some much-needed, uplifting live entertainment in what has been another challenging year. Don’t forget to bring a blanket and of course a picnic too!”
“As with last year’s production, precautions are in place to ensure the event runs safely and smoothly with regards to social distancing and government guidelines.”
Marketing Manager Emily Palmer said: “We’re delighted to be able to welcome the return of open-air production company Pumpkin Pantos.
“Our visitors were left grinning like a Cheshire cat after last year’s performance of Alice in Wonderland so it’s great that we’re able to offer a similar experience once again.”
