Basingstoke will become a joyful rainbow of colour as it celebrates its first Pride parade on August 17.
The LGBTQ+ community will be welcoming everyone to join in the flamboyant event, which will be a feast of colour, music and light, celebrating Basingstoke’s diverse community.
A colourful Pride parade including dancers, performers and music will wind its way through town towards the Amphitheatre at Festival Place, where there will be entertainment, free family-friendly activities, stalls, music and more.
Basingstoke Pride CIC is planning the event with support from Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, which has allocated funding from its Pride in Place Fund that helps local not-for-profit organisations deliver new and innovative projects to enhance the local community.
