As part of Green and Thrifty Fortnight, Basingstoke Discovery Centre is hosting a range of free and low-cost activities for children and families during February half term. Sessions include storytelling, crafts and animal encounters, all inspired by nature and sustainability.

Green and Thrifty Events

Monday 16 February | 12.00 to 1.00pm
Join Junk Jodie for an interactive storytelling session through the Amazon, followed by a craft activity and a drink or snack.
Suitable for children aged 4 to 8 years.

Friday 20 February | 11.00 to 11.45am or 12.00 to 12.45pm
Animal Encounters
Meet a range of animals and learn about them in this fun session.
Suitable for children aged 3 and over. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Green and Thrifty Crafts

Make a weather dial and watch the weather at home.

Saturday 21 February | 11.00am to 1.00pm
Make your own collage flower pot.

Craft sessions are free and drop-in. Materials are limited.
