Green Apple Environmental Awards
Festival Place has won an international Green Apple Environmental award, which recognises, rewards and promotes environmental best practice around the world. The Festival Place Technical Services Team won the award for work carried out in the centre’s non-public areas, which has reduced CO2 emissions by 47.4 tonnes a year and made savings of £190,000 over a five-year period.

Festival Place Basingstoke achieved the Diamond Award in 2019. The highest award available and only achieved by less than four percent on the entire entries. Festival Place have been regular entrants in the Loo of the Year Awards for many years. The Awards have a simple objective, namely, to encourage the highest possible standards in all ‘away from home’ washrooms across all market sectors throughout the UK.
