Ever wondered where Santa, the Grinch, and the rest of your favourite Christmas characters do their festive shopping? We’ve done the hard work for them and come up with some top present ideas at Festival Place!
Whether it’s picking up last-minute gifts, stocking up on festive treats, or grabbing a cheeky Christmas outfit, here’s where your favourite holiday figures might be spotted...
Santa Claus
Santa’s got a lot on his plate during the holidays – and that includes making sure his sleigh is fully stocked, and everyone is happy. When his elves are on their ‘elf and safety’ break, he can fill in any stocking gaps at Toytown, with everything from the Uno No Mercy card game (£13) to a Barbie You Can Be Anything Doll (£10). As a sucker for nostalgia, Santa might also just nip into Kushti Comics to pick up a retro action figure or vintage comic.
He’s got a busy night of deliveries ahead, so he’ll probably swing by M&S for a snug Penguin Hot Water Bottle (£22.50), and pick up some Hotel Chocolat luxury Milky 50% Drinking Chocolate (£10.95) so he can fill his flask for the journey.
The Grinch
The Grinch isn't exactly the jolly type – but even he can’t resist a bit of retail therapy! You might find him lurking around Next, trying to make off with this cool Grinch Black Christmas T-Shirt (£22) or picking up a sneaky present at The Entertainer for sweet little Cindy Lou Who – she'd love the Crystal Flyers Flying Fairy Doll (£12.50).
We’d also suggest he calm his inner grumpiness with a soothing Grinch Sheet Mask (£3) from Superdrug...a more relaxed Grinch might find it easier to understand the true meaning of Christmas.
Buddy the Elf
Buddy the Elf is all about the Christmas spirit, and you know he’s not shopping for anything ordinary. He’ll pop into Superdrug to check out the e.l.f. cosmetics range, which has everything from illuminating drops to finishing powder. We think Jovie would love the Power Grip Dewy Setting Spray (£10) to give her makeup a glowing finish.
And Buddy couldn’t visit Festival Place without stopping at Mr Simms Sweet Shop, where he can stock up on Cola Candy Canes (£1.25) and Christmas Candy Poles (£2).
The Snowman
He might be made of snow, but that doesn’t mean The Snowman doesn’t enjoy a bit of Christmas shopping!
He should certainly swoop into Next, where he can pick up some cosy knitwear for those chilly nights flying around in the sky; a snowflake Christmas Fairisle Scarf (£24) would be just the thing to keep him looking cool.
And then we think he should stop at Build-a-Bear to pick up The Snowman Christmas Plush toy (£26), which will remind his loved ones of his smiley face once winter is over, and he disappears for another year.
Mrs Claus
Mrs Claus is a shopper with a keen eye for quality. A visit to M&S is definitely on her list, where she can pick up various delicious items for her Christmas dinner spread. She’ll love their festive food range, and maybe she can drop into Sostrene Grene afterwards to pick up a Christmas Chocolate Mould (£2.94) so she can make some extra festive treats for the elves.
Rudolph
Even Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer gets his own special shopping list. After all those long nights flying across the globe, we think he should swing by Grape Tree to pick up some healthy treats and snacks to share with his mates and keep their energy levels high. We’ll listen out for you on the roof, Rudolph!
