Popular independent Nigerian restaurant Afrizi, based at Festival Place, is a finalist in the Central South Business Awards.

The eco-conscious business has reached the finals in the Best Customer Service category of the awards, which celebrate the exceptional achievements of businesses across the region.

Afrizi is owned and managed by Carlee Osundina and her husband Ezekiel, and offers customers a chance to discover the exciting flavours of Africa, with a menu showcasing a range of popular Nigerian street foods, from flaky meat pies to sweet, deep-fried puff puffs.

The sustainably run restaurant and takeaway also offers vegetarian and vegan options and makes its own tofu in house.

Ezekiel Osundina said: “We’re thrilled to have reached the finals of the Central South Business Awards – and particularly in the Customer Service category, which is incredibly important to us.

“Our hard-working team is dedicated to bringing the very best service to both those loyal returning customers who have been coming to see us for last two years, and also those discovering us for the first time.”

FP Marketing Manager Sian Fisher said: “It’s great to see one of our fantastic independents being recognised like this, and we’ve got our fingers crossed for a well-deserved win!”

Winners will be announced at the Leonardo Royal Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton on July 4.
