With the weather beginning to change and the children returning to school, here’s some home craft ideas to keep the younger ones entertained.

Paper plate wreaths
Turn a simple paper plate into a beautiful wreath. Start by cutting out the centre of your plate to create the base. Then get creative with decorations – wrap the paper ring with soft yarn from Søstrene Grene, or take a nature walk to collect fallen leaves to attach. Secure your finds with hobby glue or brighten things up with colourful craft tape from Flying Tiger. You can pick up a pack of paper plates from Poundland.

Pumpkin Printing
Cut an apple in half and stamp it onto paper to make your very own pumpkin prints. Just grab some orange, black, and green paint from Søstrene Grene, dip your apple in, and get printing. Spooky and super fun!

The poster paint is water-based, made of 98% natural ingredients, comes in a range of colours, and is perfect for little crafters. Plus, if you’re worried about the mess you can pick up children’s aprons from Flying Tiger.

Spooky bakes
Bake a batch of autumn muffins using these silicone pumpkin molds from Poundland – a fun treat for when the rest of the family get home!

Imaginative play
Children love to create things – or make a mess – making Play Doh is a great and easy to clean up option to do both! Toytown has some cute sets in store right now including a Flip & Pancakes Set and a Toy Camera starter set.

Create a collage
As autumn arrives, the ground will be full of colourful fallen leaves. Pop on your wellies, grab a bag and go on a leaf hunt to collect lots of different shapes and sizes. Back home, use PVA glue from Poundland to stick them down and add some sparkle with glitter glue from Søstrene Grene.
