Basingstoke Discovery Centre is a library and community space that’s free to join and offers a range of fantastic services and an exciting programme of activities for all ages.

This busy library, near the Potter’s Walk entrance to Festival Place, is open six days a week and accessible by lift or stairs.

With thousands of books, magazines, free WiFi and public computers anyone who visits can expect a warm welcome.

The bright and vibrant children’s library hosts free family activities, including rhymetime and storytime throughout the week.

Our community tables offer cosy spaces for people to meet, connect and make new friends. We host regular clubs in the library and have a well-stocked shelf of board games and jigsaws, too.

Our volunteers are part of the team, and we have opportunities for volunteers of all ages.
