A new café at Festival Place will be serving up freshly prepared food and a warm welcome when it opens this autumn.

Family firm Boswells has a select group of cafés around the UK – Festival Place will be its 19th – and has a friendly, independent style.

Everything at Boswells is freshly prepared, and the company prides itself on its warm home-from-home vibe at the heart of the local community.

The Festival Place café, in the former Patisserie Valerie unit, will offer a varied and delicious range of made-to-order food and drinks, with something for everyone from an all-day breakfast to lunch, afternoon tea or just a quick snack, coffee, tea, smoothie or milkshake.

There’s a specially designed children’s menu with loads of great options, as well as a wide range of vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and allergen-specific alternatives.

The family business was established in 1972 and is now run by the third generation of the Burn family – brothers Nick, Matt and Tim.

MD Nick Burn said: “We’ve been looking for a Basingstoke opportunity for many years and are delighted to finally arrive. We can’t wait to open!”

Festival Place Marketing Manager Sian Fisher said: “Family is incredibly important to us here at Festival Place, so we are delighted that this family firm has decided to add us to its select group of cafés, boosting our already great range of places perfect for a coffee stop.”

Boswells predominantly operates in the south of the UK, including Andover, Reading, Newbury, Bristol and Oxford.
