Festival Place has joined a national campaign to give the beleaguered British high street a much-needed morale boost.
The Basingstoke shopping centre is posting yellow hearts on its social media channels in support of the #StandingByTheHighStreet campaign started by fashion retailer River Island.
Retailers are showing their solidarity by posting the yellow heart as a message of support for their friends and competitors suffering in the wake of the national lockdowns.
Centre Director Neil Churchill says: “The coronavirus pandemic has presented challenges to our much-loved British high streets.
“This year has been all about coming together and supporting each other, and Festival Place is glad to help spread this much-needed message of positivity to hard-working retail teams across the country.”
