El Bigote is bringing the zing to the food scene at Festival Place in Basingstoke with vibrant flavours of Mexico.
Having switched their delicious Mexican food truck in Festival Square to a permanent residence in the old FSK unit, El Bigote is now open!
Established in 2020 in Fulham London, El Bigote is run by Luis Moreno Mancillas – originally from Tepic and Guadalajara in Mexico.
Favourites include succulent mildly spiced chipotle chicken wings, and crispy tortilla nachos piled with guacamole, fried beans, pico de gallo, cream and cheese and a choice of either chicken, beef, pork or mushroom.
Taco boxes for one, two, or three people can be built from freshly handmade corn tortillas with a protein of choice and spicy salsas.
Delicious protein toppings include chicken marinated in Mexican achiote spice and herbs, slow-cooked pork belly, slow cooked beef brisket seasoned with chilli and spices, crisp shavings of pork topped with roasted pineapple, spiced diced mushroom and battered fish with avocado dressing, chipotle mayo and El Bigote slaw.
Sweet treats include churros coated in sugar and cinnamon, with a choice of caramel or chocolate sauce.
