Live catwalks made a welcome return for Fashion Week S22, and whether it was in London, Paris, New York or Milan, the runways were all telling us to go bold with our jewellery.

So, if you’re looking to leave a little box of delight under the Christmas tree, here are a few things to look out for.

1 Chain reaction: Chain jewellery is nothing new, and it looks set to be chunkier than ever in 2022. You can find chain necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings – and a chain necklace makes a great present for a man, too. Who can forget Normal People’s Connell Waldron’s chain having its own Instagram account?

2 Pearl jam: Pearls are big right now, with perfectly round, freshwater styles and cool shapes all bang on trend. Timeless pearls will never be out of style and, depending on how you wear them, they can be anything from classy to current. Even Harry Styles loves a pearl or two, so don’t be shy – pile them on!

3 Earring aids: Make your ears the centre of attention with eye-catching statement earrings – the bigger the better. Look for large stones, huge hoops, and long sparkly chandeliers.

4 Charming chokers: A must-have for 2022, a single statement choker should be in everyone’s jewellery box. From delicate jewels to chunky chains, chokers are the ultimate in glam.

5 Ring the changes: Let your fingers do the talking with big, bold and beautiful rings set with large stones – you might not be shaking hands much in 2022, but you can still make sure you make a great first impression! Another old favourite granted a new lease of life is the classic signet ring – currently being seen on the pinkies of Generation Z.
