Enjoying a day out at Festival Place this summer needn’t cost the earth – there’s lots to do that is completely free, and plenty of our cafes and restaurants have great deals on kids’ meals so you can treat them to a nice meal without breaking the bank.

Eating out:

BrewDog

The craft beer chain is giving away free kids’ menu meals throughout the summer holiday when they are eating with an adult – choose from a great choice, including awesome DIY pizzas and melting cheese toasties. Just pre-book with the words Kids Eat Free to get a free meal.

Las Iguanas

Join My Iguanas via the app and get free meals for Mini Iguanas under 12 who eat with an adult every time you visit! Little Iguanas can build their own meal from choices like Wacky Tacos or Chicken Crunchies, plus two sides and a yummy pud. And there’s a free book featuring Iggy and friends with every kids meal served.

Pizza Express

Kids eat free all day, every day until September 1 when you purchase an adult main at Pizza Express. Little ones can enjoy one Piccolo meal which includes dough balls to start, a pizza, pasta or salad for main, a pudding and a Bambinoccino – all for free!

Learning time:

Discovery Centre

If your kids love reading and stories, they’ll love spending time at Basingstoke Discovery Centre, which is free to join and always has plenty going on. Not only is there a great choice of books and audiobooks, but you’ll also find free Wi-Fi, an exciting programme of events from author talks to workshops, regular children’s activities like rhyme time and boardgames, and storytelling.
