Two years of lockdowns have meant we’ve all missed holiday sun, seas, shores and sangrias – but we really haven’t missed the stress of packing!

Have we got enough sunscreen? Do I need a travel plug? My flip flops are broken! I’ve forgotten the beach towels...

Whatever you need, we’ve got it covered here at Festival Place.

We have plenty of ideas on all the best things to take with you – now all you've got to do is get your suitcase to shut!

Sun hat – keep the rays at bay with a wide-brimmed hat like this Sorento Floppy Hat, £25, from Accessorize. Woven with a touch of metallic thread, team it with a maxi dress and sandals for a cool look on a hot day.

Sun cream – protect all the family from those harmful rays with Solait Sun Cream SPF30 400ml, £8.49, from Superdrug. After a glorious day soaking up the sunshine, Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel, £4.99, cools, moisturises and replenishes dry skin to help prevent peeling.

Sunglasses – these polarised tortoiseshell sunglasses, £10, from Next give high protection against sun glare with the added bonus of helping you look cool around the pool.

Swimming costume – make a splash in a sea-blue tie-dye halterneck bikini from M&S. Tops are £15, bottoms £12.50. Men will love these vintage Hawaiian swim shorts, £34.99, from Superdry, and the quick-drying Zig Zag Rashie, £12.80, from FatFace is designed to protect children’s precious skin both in and out of the water.

The right size liquids – if you have hand luggage only, make sure you have travel-size liquid containers that don’t carry more than 100ml. Pick up an essential travel bottle pack, £1, from Poundland, and decant your shower gels, shampoos, conditioners and sun creams into the handy clear bottles.

Flip flops – you’ll find a great selection at Schuh, from navy Hype flip flops for kids, £4.99, to glamorous slim sparkle Havaianas, £36.

Beach bag – pack everything you need for the beach into one bag. Pick up this eye-catching lobster jute and canvas bag, £14.95, from Joules; perfect for your towels, books, sun cream and swimmers.

Travel adapter – you'll want to use hairdryers and phone chargers on holiday, so make sure you can plug everything in with this on the go travel adaptor, £1, from Poundland.

Spending money – With over 70 currencies available, why not pick up your holiday spends during your visit at FP with Eurochange.

Books – take plenty to read when you’re stretched out on your sun lounger. If you loved The Thursday Murder Club, then try The Reverend Richard Coles’ crime debut Murder Before Evensong, £14.99, from Waterstones. The sleepy parish of Champton descends into unexpected chaos, setting Canon Daniel Clement off on a hunt for a murderer.
