It’s film award season! Glitzy award ceremonies are what Hollywood does best, with A-list stars dazzling on the red carpet and celebrating all that we loved most on the silver screen in 2023.
First up was the Golden Globes, which saw the big Barbenheimer face-off. This time it was Oppenheimer that was in the pink, with five wins including best movie, best actor, best director, best supporting actor and best score.
But there’ll be the chance for Barbie to steal back the glory at the Oscars in March, with the Baftas and Critics’ Choice Awards in between.
There are plenty of big films to look forward to this year, including sequels to Gladiator and Dune, Alien, Mad Max, Beetlejuice and Inside Out.
There's another addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Deadpool 3 – which sees the return of Wolverine – and the much-anticipated musical Wicked.
And talking of musicals, don't miss Mean Girls, Tina Fey’s adaptation of the Broadway musical featuring Angourie Rice as Cady Heron and Renee Rapp as alpha Plastic Regina George, showing from Friday.
Whatever your film of choice, sit back in one of Vue’s super-comfy leather recliners and enjoy with a long drink and an enormous bucket of popcorn.
