It's nearly October half-term, and you’ve got a week to fill with fun for your teens before school’s back in session.
Don’t worry – we've got everything you need under one roof. Whether they’re into sporty stunts, brain-busting puzzles, or simply want to kick back and watch the latest blockbuster, your teenager will find plenty to keep the boredom at bay.
And we’ve got a scarily good Halloween treat, too!
Here are some of our top picks for half-term fun:
A wicked Halloween
We’ve got a frighteningly good Halloween lined up. A Trick or Treat Takeover over half-term will see us transform into a magical playground filled with wickedly wonderful characters, playful pumpkins, and trick-or-treat fun.
Larger-than-life characters in dazzling costumes will roam the mall, leading a thrilling Trick or Treat trail to find the 12 painted pumpkins they need for their magic spell.
The spooky stars include Cecil Skycraft, who’s going to need some magical help from visitors to get his broom zooming again, Zeppelina the Witch, who will have everyone rocking out with her magic and Theodora Bat, a trainee witch on a mission to pass her sorcery exams.
The colourful characters will lead the trail from October 28 to 31 between 11am and 4pm, with free face painting on October 31, and there’ll be prizes for families in fancy dress.
The pumpkin trail will also run on October 26 and 27 and from November 1-3, for families who want to embark on a self-guided adventure. The winner of the trail map will receive a BOO box with lots of fun goodies. Trail maps can be collected from the Customer Lounge on the Upper Level.
Flipping brilliant
Your teens will be bouncing off the walls at Flip Out trampoline and adventure park, where there’s so much to do, from jumping and climbing to foam pits and Laser Quest. It’s a great way to burn off that extra half-term energy, and there’s a café for you to sit and chill while they’re having a blast.
A great escape
If your teen loves a challenge, then Escape Hunt is the perfect place. Whether they’re cracking clues on a doomed spaceship or destroying Nazi superweapons, it’s a fun way to spend an hour or two and is perfect for groups of teens who want to team up and tackle an adventure together.
Sporting sessions
Sporty teens should head to Basingstoke Sports Centre, where there’s a huge range of activities to keep them entertained. Whether they want to hit the gym, play squash, take a dip in the pool, or try a fun fitness class, this is the ideal place to burn off some steam.
A great Vue
Grab some popcorn, kick back, and let the big screen do the entertaining at Vue Cinema.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice returns to our screens after an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. A thrilling watch for all the family.
Sworn enemies Optimus Prime and Megatron return to share their untold origin story in Transformers One.
There’s always something to keep your teens glued to their seats - for a couple of hours, at least!
Pit stop
After all that action, there are plenty of great food options for refuelling, whether they’re craving a classic burger at Five Guys, chicken tenders from Slim Chickens, or a loaded burrito from El Bigote.
