The Sushi Maki Japanese restaurant at Festival Place is the first in Basingstoke to win a prestigious national Good Food Award.
Serving up the authentic taste of Japan from its popular restaurant at the Basingstoke shopping and leisure destination, The Sushi Maki has now been a Good Food Award winner four years in a row.
The majority of the fish on the menu at The Sushi Maki is shipped in daily from Japan and is turned into a wide range of delicious sushi and sashimi by the team of traditional Japanese chefs.
Dishes includes crunchy snow crab, dragon rolls and crunchy rolls, alongside bespoke menus for vegetarians and vegans.
Awarding the Good Food Award 2020, which covers fine dining, cafes, bistros and restaurants, judges said The Sushi Maki had demonstrated exceptional levels of food quality, service and value.
The Sushi Maki founder Arif Goksel said: “I am very glad that our hard work and our focus on quality and customer satisfaction have been acknowledged once again.
“We are continuously working on keeping standards high and renewing ourselves by offering new inviting flavours to our customers.
“We are sure that everyone will enjoy the latest delicious additions to our menu, which includes a range of hot Japanese food.”
The Sushi Maki restaurant first opened in Newbury in 2015 and went on to open its second restaurant in Festival Place in 2018.
